The Plague Doctor Lapel Pin- Plague, Epidemic, Pandemic, Quarantine, Covid-19, Coronavirus, and Bubonic Plague Pins
As history often repeats itself we find ourselves amid another epidemic. The Plague Doctor Pin is in reference to the medical physicians who treated the Bubonic Plague, and later the Black Death plague. In times of epidemics these doctors were hired by towns to treat the infected. Fast forward to the quarantine of 2020 with coronavirus and the plague doctor reference is making a comeback as we all learn to sport masks in public and help slow the spread of the virus. The plague pin is hand cast in solid, lead-free pewter in our studio in RI and then dipped in copper. The Plague Doctor Pin is sporting medieval PPE. It comes packaged on our signature presentation card, making it ready for gift-giving!
